Mário Nogueira, the Secretary-General of the Teachers Union (FENPROF) in the demonstration against the IMF, the Troika, the Austerity Plan and for the defense of employment, salaries and pensions. Oct., 1st, 2011, Lisbon, Portugal.


Organized by CGTP-IN, the main Union in Portugal and connected with the parties most at left in Portugal, this demonstration took place as a march from the Saldanha Square, passing through Marques de Pombal Rotunda, down the Liberdade Avenue, to end with speeches in Restauradores Square.


It had a participation of 130.000 people according to the Union.
