Well this is a little bit different...back on October 15, 2004 then-President George Bush II was on the campaign trail...along the way he paid a visit to Oshkosh, WI. I was set up for the arrival of Air Force 1, but a short time before it arrived this nice 757 showed up carrying the media and White House press corp.

History on this aircraft is a bit lengthy...but here goes.

Delivered in May 1999 to LTU Airlines as D-AMUZ...to Electra Airlines in November 2002 as SX-BVN. Sub-leased, same rego, to Air Scotland in March 2003. Back to Electra two short months later. In September 2003, it went to ETS 2, whatever that is, as N497GX. Primaris picked it up and re-registered it as N740PA in June 2004. In 2005, it was leased to Santa Barbara Airlines of Venezuela...In 2008, it was apparently leased to Eagle Aviation and re-registered as F-GTIQ. Later that year, it shows arriving in the desert at Victorville, CA for storage. Bought by FedEx in May 2010 and converted to freighter configuration. We get lots of bizjets here in Oshkosh but this is the only time I can recall seeing a 757 parked at the FBO for an afternoon.
