Silver Street takes you to what is usually half way down the bluff in Natchez. Now it takes you all the way down to the waters edge. Last Sunday the town was busily installing a makeshift floodwall to block the rising Mississippi River water.
Even so, folks in the town were still enjoying themselves at the restaurants along the bluff. Others went to see the record-setting water levels for themselves.
