Super size me: Supergroup adds 50 global stores

SuperGroup wants to open a minimum of 50 more stores globally next year.


The Superdry fashion group increased its chain of standalone stores in Britain by 18 to 60 last year. A flagship outlet on Regent Street, in the West End of London, will be among its new shops.


According to Estates Gazette Julian Dunkerton, chief executive, said Regent Street was “going to become the 5th Avenue of London”.


The news comes as Superdry announces it will branch into fragrances this year ahead of the Christmas peak season. Five male fragrances will be released this year, with female lines to follow in 2012.
