H&M down 4% for June

Hennes & Mauritz reported same-store sales fell 4 percent in June after May’s 2 percent increase.


The retailer did not provide an explanation for its poor June sales data, but confirmed that sales were up by just 5 percent for the month; a lacklustre performance compared with May’s 12 rise.


As the world’s third largest fashion chain, H&M now stands at 2,305 stores for 30 June compared with 2,062 stores 12 months ago.
